How to Wash Pesticides Off Apples?

Ingredients
  1. Water, Cold - 1 quart
  2. Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
Instructions
  1. Mix water and baking soda in a bowl.
  2. Soak apples for about 15 minutes
  3. Remove apples and rinse in running or fresh water.

Yield: Soaks 2- 4 apples

Time: 15 minutes

Notes
  • The proportion of water and baking soda is more than the recommended 1% solution from the study cited below
  • If more water is required, just add more baking soda and try to maintain the proportion.
