Boiled Eggs

Hard or soft

Ingredients
  1. Eggs - 8 large
  2. Water - 12 cups
  3. Ice or cold water to cool hot eggs
Instructions

Prep Work:

  1. Prepare large bowl and fill with cold water for cooling of eggs.

Cooking:

  1. Bring water to boil over high heat.
  2. Gently lower eggs into boiling water.
  3. Bring back to boil, then simmer. Soft-boiled: 7 minutes. Hard-boiled: 13 minutes.
  4. Transfer eggs to large bowl with cold water and let cool for 5 minutes.

Yield: 8 eggs

Time: 10 - 15 minutes

Notes
  1. Timing starts after adding last egg to the boiling water.
  2. Recipe works for from 2 to 8 eggs.
  3. Timing changes when there are more than 8 eggs.
